Municipal Rose Garden

IMG_5752The roses are in full bloom at the San Jose Municipal Rose Garden.  Head over there to check out the gorgeous flowers.  The colorful roses are in blooms through April to November season but the best time to visit them is in early May when the roses are most fragrant and colorful.  There is plenty of free parking on the street around the the gardens on Naglee and Dana street.  We have had many a picnic lunch on the lawns around the park and there is a bathroom located on the outskirts of the roses.  My kids also love running around the fountain in the middle and underneath all the rose arches.  The gardens are located in a quaint San Jose neighborhood.  This is a safe place to take a run or walk with your toddler.  The perimeter of the Rose Garden is about a 1/2 mile loop.  On your outing to the garden be sure to check out Hester Park, a fully fenced toddler playground, next door is the Rose Garden Branch Library.
